Stop Relying On Others For Your Happiness

We expect from others a lot, like love, care, importance, respect, good behavior, special treatment etc, that’s why they affect our happiness, when our expectations don’t come true.

We forget that we are special too, and we have the ability to create happiness by ourselves. Your happiness depends on how you see things, acceptance, you attitude towards life’s problems. I have said this before, that happiness is a state of mind, and you can achieve it without being dependent on others.


Happiness comes from our inside not from the outside. If we wait for others to make us happy we risk to be disappointed. Apart from yourself only very few people have an interest to make us happy - .our parents, our partners, friends etc.

Stop thinking about others, but stop expecting from others, that they will make you happy, don’t be dependent on others for your happiness. Love them and care for them, but don’t expect.

So accept everything and enjoy the power of NOW- this is true happiness.


PROMBLEM/ISSUE MIGHT OCCUR :  Emotional Detachment 
A psychological defense mechanism that is used to cope with overwhelming or distressing emotions.  It can present as a temporary response to an extremely stressful or traumatic event or may be an ongoing condition.  For many people, emotional detachment disorder begins with avoidance of memories of past experiences or traumatic events. 

The Causes:
Abuse and Neglect
Medications
Medications
Lack of Excitement in Life

Ask yourself questions like, 
“What triggered these feelings in me?” 
“What am I feeling at this moment?” 
“How do I want to feel right now?”  

Few ways to try to encourage emotional responses 
1) Consider getting a pet
2) Go for a walk or a drive.
3) Learn a new skill. 
4) Connect with new friends. Having old friends are great, but new friends, especially beyond your comfort zone, can help.

5) Practice Self-Soothing Techniques
Give yourself permission to relax.  

6) Learn how to master your emotions
“I’m tired.”
“This day sucks.”
Are you sad? Are you in love? Are you mourning? Don’t hold it back. That’s real. 

7) Listen to Your Body (Body Mindfulness)
 = Practice deep breathing exercises and try to connect with your emotions rather than detaching from them
= you can speak positive affirmations to yourself such as, “My emotions will not make me feel anxiety.  Instead, I will embrace my emotions and find balance within myself.”

8) Don’t be so hard on yourself
Keep in mind, whether you have detached from others on purpose because you felt the need to protect yourself or you never learned effective ways to communicate and develop relationships with others.

9) Allow yourself to experience vulnerability(a sense of fear)
= Share a funny story with someone and wait for their response. Allow yourself to accept responses that may not be what you expected without immediately shutting off your emotions.
 = learning to talk with others and allowing them to communicate with you can create a sense of ease when trying to form healthy attachments.

10) Don't Be Afraid to Get Help
Find a Support Group
Seek a Counselor or Therapist
Online Therapy

Please do not hesitate yourself start anything new, you can start anything at anytime, 
do not think about other people that they will make fun of you or mock you. 
Just do it and do it for yourself. At last keep smiling, be happy and do not forget or scare to express your feeling.
